PickleClimb Privacy Policy

PickleClimb ("the app") is operated by PickleUnlimited LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a competitive pickleball ladder, we don't sell your data, and you can delete your account (and its personal data) at any time from inside the app.

What we collect

• Account: your email address (or Apple's private relay email if you use Sign in with Apple) and authentication identifiers.
• Profile: the @handle and display name you choose, your home market (metro area, e.g. "PHX"), challenge availability, competition format preferences, and an optional self-reported rating.
• Competition records: challenges, match results and scores you or your opponents submit, confirmations, and resulting ranking positions.
• Device: a push-notification token if you allow notifications.

What we deliberately do NOT collect

• No GPS or precise location — your location is only the metro market you pick.
• No contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or background tracking.
• No advertising identifiers, and no third-party ad or analytics trackers.

How we use it

To run the product: showing local standings, matching challenges, computing rankings from confirmed results, sending notifications you've opted into (e.g. "challenge received," "result confirmed," "rank changed"), and keeping the competition fair and safe (abuse prevention, blocking, reporting).

What other players can see

Your @handle, display name, market, challenge availability, format preferences, optional rating, ordinal ranking positions, and shared match results. Other players never see your email, your device information, or internal rating calculations. Blocking someone hides you from each other.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. Data is processed by our infrastructure providers (Supabase for database/authentication, Apple for push notifications) solely to operate the app. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users' safety.

Data retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account permanently). This removes your login identity and personal data; past opponents keep their match history against an anonymized placeholder so their records stay truthful. Safety reports may be retained as required for review.

Age

PickleClimb is for adults 18 and older.
